What it is

WalkLock is an iPhone app that locks selected apps until you reach a daily step goal. It reads steps from Apple Health and unlocks automatically when you hit the target.

How it works
  1. Choose the apps you want to lock and set a daily step goal.
  2. WalkLock reads step counts from Apple Health (iPhone or Apple Watch).
  3. When your goal is reached, locked apps unlock automatically.
Limitations / anti-cheat

Manual steps do not count. WalkLock requires Screen Time permissions and Apple Health access, and it only supports iOS 18+.

Privacy in one paragraph

WalkLock uses anonymized usage analytics and Apple Health step counts to power unlocks and measure effectiveness. Detailed step data stays on-device, is never sold, and you can revoke Apple Health access at any time.

1. Overview

WalkLock is a wellness-focused application that integrates with Apple Health to track your physical activity. It allows you to set step goals and unlock apps once you’ve met those goals. WalkLock uses HealthKit data to calculate your progress and manage app access accordingly.

2. Subscriptions & payments

WalkLock offers optional auto-renewing subscriptions to unlock premium features such as custom app locking, daily charts and widgets, and additional analytics.

Billing is handled via your Apple ID account. Subscriptions are charged at confirmation of purchase and automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage subscriptions in your App Store account settings after purchase. No refunds are provided for unused portions of the term.

3. Health data usage

WalkLock accesses step count and activity data through Apple HealthKit. We do not store or transmit health data off-device unless explicitly required and permitted by you. You can revoke Health access at any time through your device’s Health settings.

4. Use of the app

WalkLock is designed for personal, non-commercial use. You agree not to use the app in any unlawful or abusive manner. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms.

5. Limitation of liability

WalkLock is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee results or changes in health outcomes. Use of the app is at your own risk.

6. Changes

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you via the app or other means.
